According to Wikipedia, a nebula is defined as an interstellar cloud of dust, hydrogen, helium and other ionized gases. Originally any diffuse astronomical object was termed as a Nebula

Galaxies are huge collections of gas, dust, stars , a black hole and solar systems. It is held together by gravity. When we look up in the sky, we see stars in the Milky way (our galaxy).
