CERN
C.E.R.N is the European organisation for nuclear research and the headquarters are situated in Geneva, Switzerland. (Well... this is just another excerpt from my Swiss holiday report) They mainly focus on particle physics to find out if the 'Higgs Boson' or the 'god particle' really exists. As you all know that I want to become a particle physicist , that was a very nice place to go. But when they were trying to find the Higgs Boson particle, they found many other important things that we all use nowadays. One example is W.W.W (world wide web) found by Tim Berners Lee from the C.E.R.N. The C.E.R.N is also known for its L.H.C (Large Hadron Collider) which is known as the worlds most powerful particle accelerator. It is made up of so many superconducting magnets that stretch up to 27 kilometers. Then there is the hottest and the coldest place on earth. There are ten stages in the C.E.R.N. Out of the ten, I have only been to The Alice stage with a heavy ion detector , the cryogenics stage and the atlas stage. There are a lot of things to do and see in the C.E.R.N, but then it is too much to write, so see you all later, bye!
even cern is working on a theory of dark matter, sub atomic particles smaller than a quark among the others you didnt write about so plz correct the mistake
